This newly designed banquet hall is a seamless integration of modern architecture with local materials and traditional construction techniques. Using locally available clay roof tiles, the slim structural members were designed to fit the existing column positions, forming integrated scissor space frames spanning across a 50m wide hall. The structural members were arranged in crosses across the plan for both efficient structural design and to create an interesting network of pipes in the ceiling. The roof pattern, featuring plain and glass in-lay tiles, was designed to bring in natural light into the 5000 sqft space while creating a visually engaging pattern in the ceiling. The arched openings complement the existing structures, making it a perfect wedding destination in the small town of Wardha.
