The Banka family's dream home was designed in collaboration with Thirty Cross Collective in Bengaluru, focusing on a garden-
integrated space for family gatherings. Located on a 60x40 corner plot, the residence features clean lines, natural materials, and a standout 'Garden in the Sky' terrace framed by stone louvres.
This home accommodates a family of four and their dog, balancing hosting and privacy. The ground floor hosts formal living areas, while private quarters occupy the first and second floors. The third floor includes a bar, guest rooms, and the terrace garden.
A double-height landscaped courtyard brings nature indoors, featuring a Filicium Decipiens tree and large windows that connect the lounge, dining, and living spaces. Bedrooms open to balconies, enhancing the indoor-outdoor feel.
Thirty Cross transformed the front garden into a vertical courtyard, harmonizing old-world Bangalore charm with modern design using stone and wood. The terrace showcases 33 Madurai pink granite slabs, with planters softening the area and a small pantry alongside a game and bar zone.
Sustainability was key, utilizing repurposed materials to minimize waste. Henge House embodies Bengaluru’s identity as the Garden City through a thoughtful blend of material and nature.
